Groupon/FAQ’s

Those of you that made a purchase through Groupon.com or are just trying to find out more information about us, please read!

Do I have to be a member of Cal Fit to be a member of RCF?

No, every body is welcome to come in and try some classes, upon signing up, you will receive a Cal Fit membership for the duration of your term here, the Cal Fit membership is to the one in which we are located, at 2511 Warren Drive, Rocklin, Ca.

How do I get started?

Simply call us or email us so we can direct you to the appropriate class day and time!  Every new person to RCF will receive a FREE ten day trial!

Do I have to be in shape to start?

It certainly helps, but no, not at all!  All of our classes are structured in such a manner that people that may be deconditioned can still participate.  It is simply a matter of scaling, or adjusting, the work out.  You do not have to be in shape to start to get in to shape!  We’ll just start you off lighter in load and volume of training.

I have never done this before, I don’t know how to do the exercises, will I be helped?

We believe in the idea of “light is right” until proper form and technique is learned.  RCF class structure is not your typical “bootcamp/aerobics” class.  The coaches are coaching and not participating in the classes while coaching.  Most occasions, there are multiple coaches walking the floor.  We ensure proper form and range of motion (ROM) is achieved in a safe and efficient way.

I have injuries from the past, can I still work out?

Absolutely yes!  Again, it is a matter of scaling to enable you to still get a great, functional work out in while joining the CrossFit community.  The biggest thing for you though, is to communicate that you do in fact have an injury that may inhibit your ROM.

Is there child care?

One of the many benefits of being located inside of Cal Fit, is that they already have a child care system in place.  For just one time visits, it is $8 per child.  If you would like to sign up for a month, it is just $25 for one child and $40 for more than one per month.  The only classes we offer that child care is not open are the 5:30 am and 3:00 pm classes.  All other classes we offer have child care available.

Once I become a member, how many times a week should I come in?

Unfortunately, I can not answer that question to the exact number.  There are far too many variables that factor in to that equation i.e. availability, stress levels, nutrition, kids’ schedules, recovery rates…  The list goes on. A lot of CrossFitters outside of RCF go three days on and one day off.  I am not at all a fan of this, I program very heavy/hard WOD’s (Workout of the day) and sometimes you’ll need an extra day of rest.  In this respect, the body is MUCH smarter than the mind!  Rest is a very vital element when participating in a rigorous exercise program such as RCF.

I purchased the Groupon, I love it, now what?

Well, if you happened to like the program and want to sign up right away, you can!  On your second visit, if you choose to commit, you will receive 20% off the first 6 months of training!!!
